Youth Program

What gift could be greater than giving the world a new generation of positive, confident, loving children who honor and respect themselves, each other and life itself? CCL's youth program is committed to the vision of "Creating a World Where Families of All Kinds Live in Harmony and Spiritual Community. Peace in the Heart—Peace in the Family—Peace in the World. "

A small investment of your time and caring can make such a huge difference in the life of a child. They really are the gifts that keep on giving. It is hard to imagine a more personally rewarding way of making the world a better place. Think globally, act locally. Please keep the program thriving by stepping up to one of the following opportunities:


Youth Center Teachers
Teach simple Science of Mind principles, (curriculum provided), and participate in craft activities. One Sunday a month on a regular basis. Requirement: Foundations Class.

Youth Center Assistants
Assist teachers and work with parents during Sunday morning program. One Sunday a month on a regular basis.

Special Opportunities

We periodically can use help folding fliers, stuffing & stamping envelopes. would you like to be on a call list for this? It's fun and good fellowship to do as a group.

Do you have office skills you could donate now and then? Web skills (Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.)? Audio or Video skills? Data base or computer skills? Building & Maintenance skills? Writing and/or photographic talent? Organizational development? Fund Raising expertise?

The following positions are just some of the ways you can participate:

Bookstore Sales Staff

Summary of Position: Under direction of Bookstore Volunteer Coordinator, staff bookstore on Sundays and/or special events. Record sales in accounting software, make change for customers, print reports and reconcile cash box at end of shift.

Time Commitment: Between services and 1- 1½ hours after service, or as arranged.

Qualifications: CCL member. Foundations class graduate preferred. Computer literate. Able to learn and use sales entry in QuickBooks. Able to make change accurately.

Bookstore Assistant

Summary of Position: Under direction of Bookstore Manager or Bookstore Volunteer Coordinator, perform various tasks as needed, such as cleaning, assisting with inventory count, breaking down boxes for recycling, rearranging books on shelves, etc.

Time Commitment: Varies

Qualifications: A desire to help.

Hospitality Team

Sunday Hospitality Coordinator and volunteers needed who would like to be on this fun team.

Coordinator Duties: organize a team of volunteers to rotate monthly in the Hospitality functions.

Hospitality duties to include:
Coffee / Tea preparation, setting out treats for Sunday social hour, Kitchen clean up after social hour and help at occasional pot luck lunches.
