| The
Season for Nonviolence is an annual 64 day "season" inspired
by the memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr. This Season honors Gandhi and King's vision for an empowered
world where nonviolence is demonstrated as a powerful way to heal
and transform ourselves and communities. |

Join Fumi Stewart of the World Peace Prayer Society (New York) and
Joy K. Haley, Season for Non Violence, for a visually stunning World
Cultures Flag Ceremony (as seen at the United Nations and around
the globe. (www.worldpeace.org and www.agnt.org)
Fumi and Joy are honored to be joined by Mr. Nametame, participant
in Peace Ceremonies worldwide, and his 13-year-old son, both from
Japan. These speakers will be joined by Rev. Carol Carnes; Pat Clark,
Santa Cruz United Nations and Elder Stateswoman, Eleanor Walsh Wasson,
along with surprise guests. Special presentations of the Keys to
the City & Mayor’s Proclamation by former Mayor Emily
Reilly.
Music by Joy Haley & The Conscious Inner Voices; Suzanne St.
John & The Season Band with special guests The Conscious Teens.

Arun Ghandi (grandson
of Mahatma) and his wife Sunanda Ghandi will be
lecturing Friday and conducting a workshop on Saturday. They founded
the
M.
K. Ghandi Institute for Non Violence in 1991.
